Epic

The story of Epic is about a girl named MK who goes back to her dads house to try to rekindle the relationship with her father. She promised her mom she would at least try. When her father was paying attention more to the forest creatures rather than her, she decided to walk out the door. Her dog, Ozzy, ran away and in the process of trying to catch him, she ran into Queen Tara who turned her into a leaf person. MK becomes part of an incredible adventure to save the life of the forest. Along the way she makes friends and does rekindle the relationship with her father by saving the forest from Boggans together.

I absolutely loved this movie. It was so cute and had such an impactful storyline and theme to it.The theme of the movie is family, pollution, and trust. The plot takes place in the forest surrounding her fathers house. This movie has quite a lot of foreshadowing. First queen Tara says that MK was there to help for a reason and that eventually she will return back to her original form. MK had to trust the queen and all of her people to be able to fulfill the growth of the new pod and a queen. Then Nim had a bunch of scrolls that told the future by showing you the past. The character Nod changes throughout the movie. He first rejects becoming a leaf-man and his caretaker to be able to do what he wants freely. Throughout the movie he becomes more caring and, like MK and her father, rekindles the relationship between Ronan and himself.

A young person would really enjoy this movie (I'm young at heart). The whole movie was filled with greatness and strength. My favorite part of the whole movie was when MK and Nod kissed as she was taking back her original form, which might I add was very suspenseful and I was waiting for it the whole movie! There were little weaknesses. If I could name one though it would be that they didn't describe the death of MK's mother enough. It basically lacked information and throughout the whole movie, even now, I wonder how she died.

The story of my house is deep, dark, and mysterious. It all acumulated over a long period of time. This house was passed down from ancestor to ancestor, parent to child. Every time before the owners were about to move out to pass down the house, they would die, tragically inside. It was almost as if the house consumed everyone that ever lived within its deceitful walls. The new owners of the house didn't really think anything of it. They just brushed it off as being clumsy elders. Shortly after they move in their well-beings begin to change. They become more silent, anti-social, and distant towards the outside world, almost as if they have developed a new realm only meant to contain themselves. Eventually the house steals their life away too, engulfing them to forever haunt the land. Finally one family took their turn in the cryptic house. This couple never had kids due to multiple miscarriges. Once the house took too theirs lives, there was no one to accept the passing down of the house. For the first time, the house was put up on the market. No one wanted to buy the gloomy, dreary home. Ten years pass and, with the price being knocked down tremendously, an inexperienced couple buys the house. Immediatly after moving in they start to experience strange phenominon. The couple separates within 3 months of living there. The wife moves out without even bringing anything more than a small duffle bag. And just like that she was gone. Amost as if she had been tormented and was this was her escape. The father insisted upon keeping the three children in the malicious home. Late on Hallos Eve night the children were heard screaming by far away neighbors. Cops arrive at the scene shortly after a 911 call dialed by an elderly woman by the name of Mrs. Johnson. A trail of blood leads the cops to the kids corpses. The two cops wince at the sight of the severed childrens bodies scattered around the house. In that short time frame between gasping and wincing at all of the horror, the father manages to chop off both of their heads. A squad of cops arrive the next day at the house, stumbling onto the scene. To this day no ones knows what happened to the father gone mad and what would have possessed him to do such things to his own children. The house has been vacant ever since. The remnants of the hundreds of ancestors still remain on the property, untouched by the living. No one dares to go near the death opressive house, for they too could become absorbed in its ghastly mystery.

I went to the soccer game at the high school for extra credit for my visual design class.
Its kinda hard to see the score board because my phone has horrible quality for being an iphone 4S. Anyways this is a picture of  my good friend Kelsey and I. She is obviously a cheerleader cheering at the game. (I felt so bad for her, it was freezing and she had to wear that!) I was able to take a picture with her because it was halftime though.(: <3

Okay this is my dream car. The Camaro is the base of the car. This project was a little bit challenging because the resolution for some of the car pictures weren't all that great. I also thought getting down all the hues and its options to blend all the cars colors into one was difficult. In the end I think I did a good job.

One tip of the article was to plan ahead. I followed the layout of the articles to draw my sketches. Another tip was to have inspiration. My inspiration was fall because this is my first year not experiencing my favorite season. I guess you could call it "Autumn Time Sadness." The masthead stands for Creative Minds Think Alike. I chose this because i want this magazine to be about crafts that can be done with the family and style for upcoming cold autumn days. I'm  really into the holiday of Halloween and Thanksgiving so I wanted to include a mix of both. A tip that I really tried to work on was detail. I made sure the kids looked like they were actually walking down this dirt road while trick or treating. I also made sure that you could read the letters on the magazine. It was hard because the letters would start to blend in with the back round of the leaves. All in all I really enjoyed this project. I liked the fact that I was free to design the magazine however I wanted and make it what ever I wanted it to be. I would definitely read this magazine if I saw it in a store!

These are my 3 logos for The Marching Ants. I really wanted to include a group of ants to make it look like they are marching. The tools I used for this were mainly the magic wand, free transform, the paint bucket,  and I used a warped and 3-D tool for the text. I used derivative workings because I took other peoples creations and added them into my own. This is still legal. For the first two logos I wanted to make the letters look like they were 3 dimensional, making it seem as if the ants were carrying food.

This project is called Eddie the Donkey. We pretty much wrapped up everything we learned about the tools in this project. I liked this project because i took a nice picture and a bad picture and kinda morphed it together to make a good picture and Eddie just adds to it.

So this here is my movie poster for the upcoming moving, Thor the Dark World.  When I was first doing this project I had never seen the movie before and the characters were new to me. This weekend I watched the first movie and I can now fully understand why Loki looks like the villain when searching for pictures of him on google.  Anyways, I think I captured the gist of the movie well with this poster.

My collage is based on the color blue. Blue stands for health, knowledge, power, and integrity. Your probably wondering why a clean freak would pick a softball field as a backround. Well surprising i really love softball and thought about playing for collage. Im a ig sport girl and i like to sing and eat cupcakes!

Well this here is Tialy the elephant. I created her using my initials, A.J.S. Can you find them? This was actually my first time using photoshop. I honestly didn't know how to work this thing and I had a lot of help, from Christian, but this is what I got and I'm proud of it. I first thought of an elephant when trying to make an animal out of my initials because the J looked like a trunk. The S was originally an ear in my sketch but I had to use it as a tail cause it blended in with the body too much. I obviously picked the A as the body because the legs of the A looked like the legs of an elephant. Then here we are, looking at my creation. I hope you like it!
