Article- The three types of life altering origin stories are trauma, destiny, and sheer chance. Trauma is when a person undergoes trauma leading to stress inducing growth. This helps them to help others. Destiny is when a person is chosen years before their very own lifetime, by fate, to accumulate such powers and to help the world. Sheer chance is when someone's powers comes to them randomly. The powers could have gone to anyone, but because they were there at that very same time the powers were, they got them.

Story- Alexis was born into a young military family. Her mother was a nurse, and her dad a soldier. Her older sister, Payton, and her never really got along so Alexis was forced to play by herself. In doing so she became fascinated with the compelling idea of perfection. This same idea applied to having a perfect family. A couple years later her father was called in to active duty overseas to take care of matters in Iraq and Afghanistan. When her father left she went into a state of deep depression. She felt out of place without her father being there and the idea of perfection was gone. She came to realize that all of this was the governments' fault. People should be able to do what they want. She kept this thought to herself until six months later when her mother received a letter in the mail from a military base stationed in Iraq. The letter read:
"To the family of Kyle Shannon,
We are sorry to inform you that your loved one died in battle this previous weekend. We recovered his body for a proper ceremony. He will be dearly missed by his fellow troops and the rest of the world."
This insincere letter left Alexis mortified. After the funeral she became bitter. She vowed to herself to never live down to that excruciating day and with this in mind she ran away to Wooster, Ohio. There she found Devil town and made a pack with the devil. The deal was if she vowed to destroy all authority on earth she would be given the powers of invisibly and the ability to create an unstoppable army to rid the world of governments. This wasn't just any old army, it was an army of the dead. With that she sold her soul. It wasn't until a year later when she was seen again in the news. She had killed off the president and made an announcement to the world saying," Start preparing for death, I'll be needing you later." A second later a scream was heard in the background and the television cast went fuzzy. She had awoken an army of the dead to completely annihilate Washington D.C. The only standing buildings were covered in dead flowers spelling out the name FATALITY. Fatality's goal now is destroy all forms of government and their militaries. She thinks that if she rids the world of authority and defense mechanisms then that will stop what happened to her family from happening to others. Because of her, even in death it won't be peaceful.

This would be the comic book version of the story.

This weeks project consisted of doing doodle for Google. The theme was: "If I could invent one thing, what would it be?"  Well, to answer this question I would solve a lot of earth's problems right now by creating an abundant resource that would replace all others and is ECO friendly. This new resource can act and be manipulated like all others, oil, gas, coal, etc. and still work. This way we can continue to live the way we are now and live the way we want to in the future without harming the earth.

If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place, I would... invent a food that would give people the energy and nutrients they would need, but it would allow people to become fit and maintain their health. This invention would help control the obesity problem, mainly found in the United States, and to prevent the consumption of meat and/or animal byproducts.

P.S. I'm a vegetarian/health-nut.

Old ad

Replicated ad
The types of tools I used are gradient for the background, the magic wand and quick selection tool to crop the two dogs out of their original pictures, the pen tool to create the curved selection on the dog, the text tool for the attempt of a logo, and the blur tool to blend the two different dogs I used. What was difficult about this assignment for me is trying to get it perfect, which it still isn't. I'm a perfectionist so it was hard for me to realize the two ads won't exactly match. The other difficulty I had was the curved line separating the pencil and the dog. I couldn't really figure out what tool to use to create the selection. finally I used the pen tool and changed it to a selection after I got it where I wanted it. The lighting on the dog and its shading I wish I could have manipulated more to match the actual ads dog also.
